Dry Ridge

Mechanically fixed dry ridge systems for a secure, ventilated, and maintenance-free roof ridge.

What Is Dry Ridge?

The ridge is the highest point of your roof, where two sloping sides meet. Traditionally, ridge tiles were bedded onto the roof using a sand and cement mix. While this approach was standard for decades, mortar ridge systems are prone to cracking, loosening, and eventually failing — leaving your roof vulnerable to water ingress and wind damage.

A dry ridge system uses mechanical fixings — clips, brackets, and a roll-out ridge seal — to secure the ridge tiles without any mortar. This creates a strong, flexible connection that moves with the natural expansion and contraction of the roof structure.

Why Choose Dry Ridge?

Dry ridge systems are now recommended by British Standards (BS 8612) for all new-build and replacement work. They provide better weather protection, improved ventilation, and a longer lifespan than traditional mortar. Once fitted, they require no maintenance whatsoever.
